This leading Tier 3 commercial head contracting building firm, has been established for over 30 years and has a solid footprint in the commercial space in Sydney and NSW. Its annual Turnover year on year is now of a substantial financial gain. They pride themselves on working with a solid loyal client base, on multi million dollar Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Government and Infrastructure projects from $2 million AUD to $40 million AUD.
Randstad being a large global organisation, has a preferred supplier agreement in place with this firm and has been requested to source calibre professionals for an immediate start for the right site engineer.
Recently they have been awarded a high profile new build project for a Health care facility valued at $30 million in regional NSW; they have asked us to provide a bright, passionate and motivated Site Engineer/QA to assist the Site Manager with the implementation of the safety and quality management system and general site duties on a daily basis. Good understanding of Safety Management procedures would be essential.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the allocated Site Manager you will be responsible in helping the daily operations of a busy site in particular co-ordinating the Subcontractors, Quality Assurance and Safety. You will have worked for a Tier 1,2 or 3 Australian builder on commercial projects or similar projects over $2 million AUD.
Duties:
- Coordination of trades, site personnel and subcontractors
- QA & OHS
- Design Management - Formalising RFI’s raised.
- SWMS
- HSEQ
- Client coordination
- Variations
- Documenting site activity
- Compliance and monitoring of WHS
- Tendering / Budget reporting
Once successful / Daily op’s include:
- Managing on-site construction operations for a $30 million Hospital, delivering new buildings, services, and associated civil works.
- Coordinating - Safety Audits, WHS Accreditation.
- Execute - weekly Site Safety Inspections, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Develop, review, and approve comprehensive Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Manage and direct contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct and finalize incident investigation reports promptly to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Construction Management or equivalent Diploma.
- Australian Experience working in a similar capacity for a Tier 1 ,2, 3 Builder.
- 3 years experience working on Commercial / High Rise / New Build Projects over $5 million.
- High communication skills and attention to detail
- Be hungry to fast track up the ranks in a bustling environment.
